Here’s a recap of our 2021 Masterclass!

Community Living Ontario’s Re:Action4Inclusion youth movement organised a virtual two-day Masterclass series for all youth. The series was led by Re:Action4Inclusion’s Masterclass Youth Advisory Committee in collaboration with The Beanstalk Project. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, youth with and without a disability have continued to lead the way in promoting an inclusive Canada. Thus, this year, the masterclass series focused on exploring strategies for maintaining mental wellness, resilience and growth while adapting to the ‘new normal.’

The two-day Masterclass series offered a phenomenal opportunity to connect with peers and community leaders who are passionate about building a strong foundation for inclusion during an ongoing pandemic.

Inspirational speakers Joel Hilchey, Anto Chan and the Masterclass Youth Advisory Panel themselves shared their own powerful ‘silver lining’ stories of how the challenges of the pandemic presented opportunities to demonstrate strength, resilience, and leadership. The speaker sessions provided everyone with strategies and resources they need to showcase their own unique abilities of maintaining mental wellness and encourage other peers to create a positive community. The interactive masterclass series took place on November 30 and December 7, 2021, with 100 participants attending the event.
