Change Project: Artful Expressions of an Inclusive Community

‘Artful Expressions of an Inclusive Community’ is a community change project in the Haldimand, Norfolk and Six Nations communities that is led by several youth advisors from Fusion4Inclusion. The project is part of a series of Community Change Projects funded by Community Living Ontario and Heritage Canada. Fusion4Inclusion is a local movement of young people, who are connected to and supported by Community Living Access, Community Living Haldimand, Community Living Six Nations- Ronatahskats; Haldimand-Norfolk REACH and the Norfolk Association for Community Living and Community Living Ontario’s provincial youth engagement initiative Re: Action4Inclusion.

This project aims to empower youth, with and without a disability, to realize their role as active citizens in Canada and to provide an opportunity for youth to share with our community what their vision is for the future, through the medium of art! The virtual art exhibit is an opportunity for youth in our community to address the gaps in our society and perhaps spark conversation about what needs to change or what we need to continue to do as a community so that ALL youth feel they belong in Haldimand, Norfolk and Six Nations.

We invite young artists (aged 13-21) who have a vision for a more inclusive community and Canada to submit artwork that reflects that vision. There are endless possibilities for creativity! Check out the artwork submitted and go on a virtual exhibit tour at the link below!
