Our Community Partners

who we are

Include2Improve is a group of youth who are looking to develop ideas in order to promote efforts of inclusion in our society. We take action by making issues involving inclusion in our culture known to all communities and organizations. Our membership consists of 12 youth from southern Perth County, ON. Its members and advisors regularly meet outside of school hours in community locations to discuss plans, issues, and initiatives. 

Impact:

Our goal is to push our peers to break out of their established social groups and get to know other youth. Youth that may not know each other might get along with each other, so we want to give them the chance to meet each other. We want to do this by hosting a day long social activity day including all students. The vision includes hosting a full student assembly (grades 7-12) with a guest speaker who will talk about breaking out of your existing social circles and getting to know other students including those from other countries and those with an intellectual disability. Students will divide into groups (groups will be divided ahead of time by student leads, teachers, community partner) to ensure that different social groups of students are divided. Groups will break out into activities. This will give students a way to come out of their shell and get to know each other better in a fun way.
